Woofie Wednesday

I know you've heard me talk about my woofie friend Zu Zu before but the humans hung out with her while they were on vacation in North Carolina. The house they all rent lets woofies come (but not cats) so she gets to go and play on the beach and swim in the Ocean. Zu Zu was my bestest friend for about 9 months when we grew up together. She was a puppy while I was a kitten and we grew up playing really rough together. I'd thwack her on the nose and she would bite my tummy and we'd both get yelled at. Ah...good times! Zu Zu is getting old for a woofie though. Not too old, but she's starting to get grey and actually sleep. She used to be a ball of energy. Instead of her comming to live with us when we finally got our house the AM's little sister was so in love with Zu Zu after so many years that she stayed with the little girl. I miss Zu Zu but sometimes she comes to visit and I always remember her right away and we start playing and I give her the tail poof immediately.

The Woofie

Before I told you about my best friend the woofie. She is a Golden Retriever and we grew up together at the "house" in Massachusetts. We caught mice together, got yelled at for getting on the Foo-ton, along with other things. I loved ZuZu and we got along really well. I liked when she tried to bite my tummy because I could bunny kick her nose. Unfortunately the timing of ZuZu living with the people was just not right. The Woman just started college and the Awesome Man worked 90 miles to the east so no one could give ZuZu (at that time a year old) the time she deserved. After a year ZuZu went back to live with the Awesome Man's parents. She was supposed to come back to live with us when we got our house but by then The Awesome Man's little sister and his parents were quite attached and ZuZu is really happy with them. Sometimes she comes for visits and I give her the same tail poof that I give the Awesome Man.

I had a woofie once

Long long ago I lived with a woofie. She was golden and hairy and full of energy. Don't worry, she's still alive, I just don't live with her. We lived together in Massachusetts for a year in the "Shack". The Awesome man found the "Shack" to rent because it accepted dogs and his parents gave him a puppy for Christmas. While the Woman liked the woofie, she missed kitties and that is when I came to live with them.

The woofie and I used to play all of the time. I would roll on my back and let her bite at my belly and then I'd rabbit kick her nose and run away. She would crouch down and make some very odd sounds while I would rise on my back feet and bat at her snout. We spent a lot of time together for that year- a lot of alone time as the people were either at work or at school.

After a year the people couldn't handle living in the "Shack" anymore. The woofie had chewed through the walls in boredom and if I never caught another mouse it would have been too soon. They decided to move into an apartment and that meant the woofie couldn't live with us.

The woofie went back to the Awesome Man's parents and there she lives today. They are very good to her and she is a very nice woofie. She even has an invisible fence so she can run around and play. I see her sometimes, she comes over and visits. Whenever I see her I get all playful and purry and my tail poofs like it does for the Awesome Man. I love that woofie and she loves me.
